Born on May 27, 1947 in Hansapur, Kaski District of Nepal as son of Mrs. Pabitra Subedi and Mr. Devi Das Subedi, Mr. Ram Babu Subedi is a renowned writer in Nepal. Till date, he has published more than thirty-fi ve books that comprise of poetry, poems, lyrics, picture stories, plays and educational works. Most of these books and creations are meant for children. Many of his poems have been included in diff erent school textbooks.
Mr. Subedi retired from teaching profession after a service of more than thirty-fi ve years. Besides a teaching experience of some twenty years as Senior School teacher at Nepal’s prestigious Budhanilakantha School, Subedi also has the experience of teaching at Eton College in the UK.
Editor of more than two dozen books, Mr. Subedi has been a recipient of many honours, including Gorkha Dakshinbabu Medal, Trishakti Patta, Nepal Academy Medal, Sajha Award for Children’s Literature, Education Award, Best Children’s Literature Award, Madhurima Honour etc. Mr. Subedi likes Social Work, Travelling and Writing. He has visited many countries around the world including UK, Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria, Japan, Korea, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka.
